Your recordings, transcripts and minutes are made on your phone and stay on your phone. We have never received one and there is nowhere on our server to put one. What we hold is an email address and whether you have paid.
Verbale records audio, converts it to text, separates the speakers and writes the minutes — all of it on the device, using models downloaded once to that device. None of this involves us. The audio, the transcript, the speaker labels, the summary and the minutes are stored in an encrypted database on your phone and are never transmitted anywhere.
If you export a backup, that file is encrypted with a passphrase you choose and is written wherever you send it. We never see it, and we cannot open it or recover the passphrase.
There is nothing to sign up for. The app works without an account, and an account exists only because a subscription needs somewhere to live — it is created by the purchase itself, in Google Play, and you never choose a password for it.
No recording. No transcript. No summary. No minutes. No meeting title. No participant name. Not a count of how many meetings you have made, or when, or how long they were. There is no column for any of it, which is a stronger statement than a promise not to look.
We use no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. There is one third-party component in the app — the crash reporter described below — and it stays switched off until you turn it on.
The app can send a crash report when it fails. It is off until you switch it on, you are asked before it is ever enabled, and you can withdraw at any time in Settings.
When it is on, reports are processed by Google Crashlytics (Google LLC and its affiliates, processing in the United States and elsewhere). A report carries the stack trace of the failure, the app version, the model of phone and the version of Android, and an identifier Crashlytics generates for the installation.
It carries none of your meeting. No audio, no transcript, no summary, no minutes, no title, no participant name. The app passes nothing of its own to Crashlytics — no account, no user identifier, no custom data — so there is no route by which your content could reach a report.
We cannot count these reports the way the app counts its own network calls, because Crashlytics sends them itself rather than through the app. The privacy screen inside the app says so, on the same screen and in the same place it names Google Play’s own connection.
That is the complete list. If you never make an account, the app contacts us once, to fetch the models, and then never again.
Subscriptions are bought and billed through Google Play. Your payment details go to Google and never to us — we receive only a purchase identifier and whether it is paid. Google's own privacy policy governs what they hold.
Our web server keeps ordinary access logs — IP address, time, the page requested — as any web server does. They are used to keep the service running and are not combined with your account or used to build a profile.
We keep your account until it is deleted. Ask us at this page and we erase the account, its devices and the subscription record, and cancel the subscription so the card stops being charged. It does not touch anything on your phones, because we cannot reach it — uninstalling the app removes that.
Verbale is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly hold data from them.
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top changes and the new version is here. We will not start collecting something this page says we do not.
